tiring day
Went town after a long session of the house discussion with the ID and his fella pp - plumber/electrician/aircon. Almost 1.5hrs.....Fortunately our ID tried to conceal as much casing so that it is less obvious and still HDB approved. With the nbr of lighting points, reali cant imagine how much we hv to spend on lights. RD just dont want to lessen the nbr of lighting points. ArGh...he ll feel it when the bills come.

19-23Jul , here I come BKK ....
Been 2 weeks, waiting for better deals from Jetstar or Tiger and tonight, finally got my tickets booked. Flying off on 19-23 Jul, back on my bdae. Just a good time for us to go BKK to get small things for the house. Also, taking a short trip jus after our ROM. Hopefully wont overspend when we go there, no more shopping like how i did the last time in Central. No one can understand how I spent close to SGD800+ in Central. ;p . Kinda miss BKK, it's about 2 years since I last went there. Take me there.....
TreeTops @ Punggol
Wow..was impressed and alittle of regret that I wasnt able to get this place, which is so much close to my current house. Treetops attracted me on this 5-room loft unit which features a double-volume living room and an open terrace that can be converted into a sky garden. Pretty like the old style of masionette which they had phased out for a long time. Of cos, price is steep too, almost like my house, 380K. Only 14 units available. For those who are looking for a house, thumbs up to the area, very near the MRT. The main feature of this estate was range of green technologies and innovations for effective energy, water and waste management. These include solar panels to generate lighting for common areas, centralised recyclable refuse chutes and a rainwater collection system.
By the time this is ready, I am 1 year away from selling my new house. Ready by 2011. Too long wait.

today - 28 03 2007
Woke up this morning, and kinda drag going for the interview set up during lunch. Told RD that I was onli looking fwd to meet him with the photographer. After reading thru the job scope of the interview, thought it will be a bad fit and not my cup of tea. Oh well, so went to town for the interview, been 2 years since I went for an interview, nothing fantastic abt the location/bank or job. Was like how i thought it would be. Was a quick 15mins chat and off i go. But was a good warm up for any upcoming interview..
Met up with JohnLim this photographer who took John&Sharon's wedding last Sat. He was a pretty nice chap, RD and I felt pretty comfi toking to him and of cos his work was not too bad. Could tell from his office that he is pretty neat fella. Although he was giving a reasonable price, comparable to LightedPixel, the only downside is, he doesnt do album size i like.
Hmph..seemed like Jonathan is now push down to the bottom of the list, considering his price. Even though he was RD's fren's fren. This relationship of RD's fren's fren didnt help in giving a better deal despite our negotiation.

JP Morgan Chase Run (03May2007)
Just thought of making use my NIKE AIR which RD bot for me last yr bdae, till now, hv onli wore once. Since last year, when i started blading again, somehow Iunder the influence of Bernie, just thought I wanted to give it a shot like how I saw him run up and down East Coast while i blade. Admired his stamina, of cos he imparted some tips to me on how to cure the stomach pain after running for half an hour. This had alwis been the case even last time when i ran 2.4km. This was my poorest item in the Physical Fitness. Kinda miss Physical Fitness where we would run at the park opposite my school. Neva fail to get Gold Award every year.
Being persuaded by my fellow colleagues to give it a shot to participate, I decided to sign up and get a few others to run along. Finally on the list, i have marcus, yc, vincent, billy and manuel. Will probably train up to complete the run, been ages since i last ran and also neva join such competition. Wish me luck on the 3 May 2007(JP Morgan Chase Run). Marked this day, Renee will complete the 5.6km run. http://www.jpmorganchasecc.com/

Bridal Show@Merchant Court
On Sun - Went for Merchant Court bridal show, it was the first time, was a good experience. Was really tempted to sign up on the spot. Was so attracted to the complimentary things which they offer, even offer their poolside solemization for free. Since we wont need that, could exchange for something else.
Well so these few days, have been getting my kor and frens to get me contacts of the few hotels we had in mind.
These are those potential ones shortlisted :
1. Merchant Court
2. Sheraton Towers (L shaped ballroom)
3. Grand Copthorne Waterfront (This may also be out as we need to pay 50% for food tasting)
4. Meritus Mandarin
5. Conrad (This is out as this has lousy wedding favours)

Over the weekend
Gosh....just so tired....the wkend that just passed was the most fruitful.
On Sat - Went our house, managed to see some of the below done :
1. Tiling done in the living room, bomb shelter and kitchen toilet
2. Sealing of the main bedroom door.
3. Make good of the walls that were knocked down
4. Bricks were tiled up for the breakfast toilet
Meet up wif ID to discuss some of the tiling for the bedrm toilet and the shower area, as he was unwell, he left after 15mins while RD and I continue snapping pics on the renovation progress
Met up with Jonathan @McNair Rd, to see some wedding album. Wow, it was so expensive. Total of 5.8K for both actual day and prewedding. RD and I liked the way he take pics of the couple, could just express the feelings by the look of the pics. Even though he has some business dealing with RD, but that didnt give us a better offer as compared to LightedPixel. Sigh, another downpayment we have to pay if we were to confirm any photographer this year.
In the evening, went to Regent for John & Sharon's wedding. Was really grand in terms of the table they had, plus there was a Minister there. Being the tradition US style of wedding, they had to dance before the start of the first dish. Not too sure if it came as a surprise for them. They even had bridesmaid march in before their entrance. That night ended 11plus for me and RD.

thursday already..
I can't believe it's almost the end of the week and that the weekend will soon over again. Grandpa has been back at home since Tue, was amazing how small the cut for his op was. 3 small keyholes, kudos to the surgeon and the technology.
At work, nothing change much except a new big boss, although it doesnt really affect me that much, since I also know him well enough as business user. How contradicting his role is when he play 2 hats.

By Chance or By Choice
Came across this posting on the site..is pretty true
When we meet the right person to love, when we're at the right place at the right time, that's chance. When you meet someone you're attracted to, that's not a choice. That's chance. Being caught up in a moment (and there's a lot of couples who get together because of this is not a choice. That's also a chance.
The difference is what happens afterwards. When will you take that infatuation, that crush, that mind-blowing attraction to the next level? That's when all sanity goes back, you sit down and contemplate whether you want to make this into a concrete relationship or just a fling. If you decide to love a person, even with his faults, that's not a chance. That's choice.
When you choose to be with a person, no matter what, that's choice. Even if you know there are many people out there who are more attractive, smarter, and richer than your mate, and yet, you decide to love your mate just the same, that's choice. Infatuation, crushes, attraction comes to us by chance. But true love that lasts is truly a choice. A choice that we make.
Regarding soul mates, i believe fate brings you together, but it's still up to you to make it happen. I do believe that soul mates do exist. That there is truly someone made for you. But it's still up to you to make the choice if you're going to do something about it or not. We may meet our soul mates by chance, but loving and staying with our soul mate is still a choice we have to make.
We came to the world not by finding someone perfect to love, but to learn how to love an imperfect person perfectly..

wedding gowns viewing
Silverling
Was recommended by Audrey to him - Jit, nice guy. Price is alittle steep. Need to wait for his pricelist before I can make any comparison, range fr $3688 onwards, wif no photography Top up $180 for addtional tea dress which can be used for my ROM. His forte is more of bareback. Pretty classic. However he cant show me any tea dress as all are made to measure(MTM).
DiGio
Walk into the shop since we were waiting for our next appt at Emanuel B, nice showcase of inhouse wedding album. Priced at $3688 too, inclusive of indoor n outdoor shoots. Hmph..but his gown not so nice except the one on the Her World mag. He even told us he can have us as his model..Duno wht he mean...mayb showcase our pics if we take on.
Z Wedding Design
Yucks..hate it..served by China assistant...cant even show me nice dresses...
Emamuel B
Elaine was very friendly and able to tell me the nice mix and match when i told her the style i like. For e.g can a big ribbon go well with a translucent bareback? She was recommended by Adrian. Tried on the french lace long train gown which was in the process of making. Very nice according to RD. Although i didnt like the front but she said could alter. Her price was pretty reasonable. $2888, since she is tying up with Her World, promo for free Tea Dress is free for first 12 customers. Hv to top up another $400 for a MTM evening gown as she said, often the gowns she has may be tough to match wif the theme we have in mind. Suggested to top up MTM.
Wedding Present
Took a walk to Tam's wedding gown shop. Was impressed by the nbr of gowns they had, a wide variety, including a small corner of all tea dress. Tried on 2 wedding gown and a tea dress. The tea dress is somehow similar to the short can can style Tam has for her wedding. Their design is ok, but price is steep, at $3688 without a tea dress. Top up $480 for a tea dress.
Conclusion : Prefer simple with french lace, long train, translucent bareback for wedding gown. ROM dress cum tea dress will be tube short can can style

Is important to have good health. Hospital is alwis a glommy place to me, seeing all the sickly. Hv you ever wonder y foreign countries like europe side, you will hardly find people with this deadly illness. Guess alot to do with diet and living habits.

some updates
home
Shortage of sand has caused an adverse impact on my house. Price of sand usually cost 400, and now, is 1200 for 5RM, how stupid. Luckily my ID managed to get it cheaper @$800.PE price has increased also, sigh. Additional charges that we need to fork up
Hacking will start tomorrow for 2 days, will post pic of the progress in the making, step by step. Tiling will start on Mon. RD said the view in the night is nice.
grandpa
He has been in pink health until lately, he is now hospitalized and going for major operation tomorrow. He will be fine. His large intestine has been blocked, doc has to remove 90% of the blockage by joining back the intesting. This will allow the doc to run through his intestine with a endoscope. This has caused him constipation and uncomfi tummy. 5 yrs ago, he was given clean bill of health after suffering thyroid cancer. He will be the same, trust him unto God, to give him clean bill of health

busy SUNDAY
On Sunday - went for church service, brought the boyz to VIVO for a new experience in the mall, living in PERTH for 2 yrs and subsequently FRANCE for next 2 yrs. They were clueless on this new mall. They werent fascinated at the size as they have seen much bigger mall over there. Bought some clothes for the boyz as their clothes are still in the shipment boxes.
When I move in to my new place, church will be kinda far for me. RD is already making me feel bad that he had to eat alone during lunch. Sigh......

face's disfigured for a week
On Sat, had facial and was the worst encounter. Tears rolled down when the therapist did the removal of oil pores on face. *Ouchy Ouchy*, it hurts so much! Was told that the marks ll be there for 4-5days. Had to put on my sunglasses everywhere i go. Went IT show, super crowded this time this event. Saw the launched of the Playstation 3, was impressive, as RD mentioned the graphics really cant fight with XBOX360, priced at 963 wif 2 games. PS3, has very few games. Was really tired when the day ended.
C Clinic & Barfly
On last Fri, met up wif 2 colls - Marcus & YC for dinner at Central Mall, the new mall. Surprisingly they were seated at Pepper Lunch, waiting for my arrival. When i turned up, had the best laff, MR YC was asking the waiter to cook for him, passing him the chopsticks. The newbies @ Pepper Lunch, didnt noe it was a DIY cooking hot plate. When I spoke to Marcus over the phone, giving him my order, he replied "OK" when i told him to flip my red meat for me. Neva did he noe i was referring to cooking it for me on the hot plate. What a good laughter for the night.
Went to C Clinic Lounge for drinks with them, one by one, the rest joined us. Music was ok at Clinic C, except that the hosp bed outside were all full, so had to wait at the lounge. Drinks were costly, the Long Island Tea was super sour & Cosmopolitan tasted like cough syrup.
Decided to pub hop, Marcus suggested Gotham, yucky to see hairy chest striptease. In the end, landed at Barfly. Cheaper drinks, had a few shots which the guys called.
Left ard 2.15 while the Marcus, YC and Billy went MOS and got YC drunk. The night ended @530am for them. Must be easy getting the dude drunk as usual.
This time, it has changed, was RD waiting for me to hv drinks wif my frens. He waited long, and had to make it up to him ;p

TREMOR
Was shaken by a tremor in the early part of the morning, thought it was my eyes or mind playing tricks on me, suddenly things moved. Stood up and saw a bunch of people looking ard and asking if anyone of us felt the tremor. The thought abt evacuating the building or not. Fortunately it was near to lunch,my colls drove out to IKEA for lunch. Went back to work after lunch, was told the building was safe to return for work. Not long again at 1.50pm, tremor was felt and people was standing around on the ground floor. The tremor was much more intense as compared to the second one. Somehow jus feel so paranoid, and everything just seemed to be moving. Guess this time, the earthquake was near us, thus we felt it. Cant imagine if everything collapse in front of me, everything will be so chaotic.

Last 2nd of CNY
Went over to my coll's place for CNY gathering. Was a really impressive semi D. The rooftop could almost house a mini pool. It is 4 storey tall. She spent almost 130K for renovation. Wow, that almost the half the cost of a Cherry QQ.
Later in the night, brought the boys to RD's fren place @Pasir Ris, they played XBOX while the adults played card games. Luck was wif us for twice in the row @ his fren's place, we won. Played heart attack game also, was pretty fun. Remember the childhood days when we play OLD MAID, DONKEY and UNO. Fun games to grow up with.

jia's bdae @ Barfly
Fridae was a busy dae for me. Pick up my aunt n fam @ the airport and headed to Joo Chiat for Wanton noodle.
Rush down to my new place to report the defects to the HDB officer. Was told by her that cement screedings for the rooms will take a little longer as they now face a shortage of sand. Hope it wont be delayed too long.
Traded in my fone 3230 @Simon's place and did some shopping. Bot shoes @ Nine West, although was told not to buy shoes during this feastive season, but hack, the shoes was nice and had discount.
Drove to Shangrila for dinner, wide variety of food, sat near the poolside. Great ambience. Left to join Jia & the rest @ Barfly of Clarke Quay. It has turned into a vibrant area for pubbing. Passed this pub called Clinic C where the concept was of hospital, chairs were like hospital bed and drinks were served either in syringe or dripping bag. Cool place. Barfly was pretty crowded, one thing which is good is, no cover charge. Met QQ, been a long time since I last saw him. Used to meet up wif him n rest for soccer every sat last time. Those were the times
