we have moved in - 23 jun 2007

Since last Fri till today, there is alwis some updates happening in the house...last week and this week will be mad rush for us on our housy that include grocery shopping. Buying what we can carry back home everyday. Last Sat, the fridge, microwave and TV has arrived. His sound system arrived on Mon and today, the common toilet door has been changed. Gas pipe for the stove is ready for us to cook, but we lack of pots and pans

Cant imagine, over the weekend, we spent over $500 at Robinsons and $180 at Giant, not forgetting $80 at Ikea. Happily stocking drinks and food/sauces in the kitchen. Dont know what to get my frens to buy since we are both pretty fussy with design, even up till selections of fork n spoons...Had wanted WMF cultery, but abit too pricey, so gave dat a missed. Here are what we are lacked of for now :

1. More plates, bowl, cultery, pot(WMF), pans(WMF), Knives, Wine glass
2. Zoji rice cooker
3. Philips hair dryer
4. Fans
5. Clocks
6. Runner
7. White vase
8. Carpet
9. Paintings

found the shoes...

Knock off on time again in search for the shoes. Went Tangs, tried on a pair, my size was sold out. Got the helpful lady to chk at Centrepoint. BINGO, they have it there. Design was simple with a row of crystal, and seemed higher than the earlier I hv found at Taka, which caught my eyes. Went to Far East Plaza, Isetan Scotts, Wheelock, see if there is a nicer and higher heel, but didnt seemed to have it.

Caught a glimpse of the sale items at MANGO. Nothing much to buy. Phew the boy wasnt wif me, else he would say "U GET DISTRACTED AGAIN, not finding your shoes and wasting time in unimportant things." Decided to shop alone, can look at anything I want.

Next in mind, need to look for table cloth or runners for that special day.

running out of time...give me a pair of nice shoes

Jit sms me this morning and told me to go for 2nd round of gown fitting after last Sat, he made some alteration. Told him I hvnt found a decent pair of shoes i liked. Went to Aldo, 9West, Novo, Paradox. Cant find anything I like. Had to postpone to 30th Jun , till i find my shoes

Got some help from those married gal to see where they got their shoes. Found some brand names like Leaping Lizard which is a MTM shop. Essex Walk at Palais Renaissnace. Too far to make it down to some shops today. Recommendations on the Female's & StyleWedding's forum on some other shops at HVillage, Far East Plaza.

Rushed down to Leaping Lizard, found it too pricey, and cant really tell the quality of the shoes based on the display. All trial pair looked pretty dirty and old. Still hv to pay express for the shoes to be ready by 30th Jun. Tink I will give it a miss. Went to Hue & Jwest, saw a pair of shoe at Hue which was simple, but no size.. :(

Went to Citylink Mall and Suntec, still cant find a pair of nice ones. Most likely I hv to settle with the pair I saw at Taka, hope it still hv my size when I go get it on Wed. Am i too fussy that i cant find a nice high heels.

ROM's gown fitting

Went to Jit's place for gown fitting, at first glance the gown do look pretty puny, more for a dress for flower gal.Reali love the design of the back. Pretty comfortable with Jit's design. Tried on a few wedding gown, all low back, RD loves the fairytale's sorta design. The ROM''s gown had to go for a round of alteration before is ready to be worn. Love it so far.

Looking for a pair of strapy high heel wif crystal studs to match the gown, even though the venue will be at our house. Jit said it will look nice to put on a pair of shoe.

shinging shinging little stars

Took leave today to see thru the lights being installed, was worth waiting for. RD and I spent the whole day at home watching the installation. RD trying to learn some skills from them to install on his own next time. Saw the crystal that was so beautiful, lighting up the living room, having different effects of the crystals with just a dimmer. Cool..
The bedroom's light was pretty nice too with the shadow formed at the corner of the walls....Will be even more beautiful after the wallpaper is up. Thumbs up for the lights chosen so far.

Now all lights and switches all fixed except the frosted glass on the kitchen backsplash, the holes burnt in our pocket is even bigger.

Did alot of sweeping and cleaning of the floor, must say the area to sweep is bigger than what i though. Most likely the housework will be done twice a week or when there is a to sweep. Argh..RD must be gloating away. Cant keep to my cleanliness style of sweeping and mopping daily..

More updates to come..watch out for space

26 more days to our promise

As busy as we are wif the house, have to also spend some thought on what has to be done for the ROM. We have made a count last week, close to 80+ people including kiddos will be expected to turn up. We know we wont be able to fit everyone into the house to hear our exchange of vows. We had to staggered some relatives to turn up later as part of house-warming celebration.

Cards have been done, ready to pass to friends. Buffet has been booked. Flowers will be ordering from an old friend. Need to find table cloth and some furly for the pen.

Hope everything will be over soon.....

hang in there, we almost close to completion....

The house is about 70% close to completion. We have completed buying all lights for living, bedrooms, foyer and walkway..Hv spent close to 2.1K of lightings...gosh..more to come man....Installation will be this Wed.

Carpentry are all up except some alterations and installation of basket at the kitchen's cabinet. Oh well, what is left is varnishing of the parquet one more time. Wallpaper and cleaning up. Shld be able to move in by the week after Jun 23.

Everyday, RD and I would visit the house to inspect and ensure that every detail is iron out wif the carpenter and electrician. His current job really able to give him the flexibility. Thankful for that

Spent the weekend at our place, cleaning up and meeting up wif curtains salesman. What is left unbought are the below :

1. Wallpaper
2. Curtains
3. TV
4. Fridge
5. Washing Machine
6. DVD Player
7. Microwave
8. Cultery
9. Carpet
10. Standing Lights for the living and room

With all the above..it makes a total 100% complete home....

Not forgetting the effort they had put in, in the recent romantic wedding proposal @ Sentosa......

half a year jus gone passed

Been a long while since I last post, many things has happen...as for the housy, here are some updates :
